Back the Housing Package
The WRA is advocating for legislation to address Wisconsin's significant supply and affordability crisis. With inventory levels at historic lows and Wisconsin’s median home price at $338,000 — the highest in the Midwest — homeownership in Wisconsin has become increasingly inaccessible, particularly for first-time and middle-income buyers. The proposed bills aim to address that challenge by specifically targeting the shortage of “missing middle” housing.
227,000 Housing Units must be built this decade if Wisconsin wants to grow its working-age population.
140,000 Housing Units must be built in Wisconsin by 2030 to keep pace with current demand.
